Tours & Excursions to the Sights of Zanzibar

Exciting experiences in Zanzibar

A stay at SeVi Boutique Hotel Zanzibar is quiet and relaxing, but never boring. There is plenty to do at the hotel on the beach and outside the grounds.

A trip to Zanzibar is never complete without a visit to a spice farm - or a shamba - which is why we recommend visiting one on the way to Jozani. There you can learn about the cultivation and production techniques and enjoy a spice smelling and tasting tour.

Spice farm and Jozani forest

Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is about 70 kilometres from SeVi Boutique Hotel Zanzibar and can be reached in about one and a half hours by car. It is a protected area known for its endemic population of red Zanzibar colobus monkeys. There is an information centre and a nature trail where you can experience more of the wonders of the rainforest's geology and fauna. The area is also recommended for activities such as wildlife and bird watching, as well as nature walks.

Day trip to Stone Town

Located 55 km from SeVi Boutique Hotel Zanzibar, the UNESCO-listed Stone Town - Mji Mkongwe - on the west coast of Unguja can be reached by car in about an hour and a half. It is a maze of narrow streets flanked by African, Arab, Persian, Indian and even European architectural structures, most built of reddish coral stone. Take time to explore this ancient side of the island's capital and admire the intricate details of the structural design and the rich carvings and bas-reliefs of the doorways. Immerse yourself in the African island's historical past for a day and explore the multitude of sights within Stone Town.

Diving & Snorkelling off Zanzibar

You don't have to scour the entire island to find dive instructors. The PADI dive centre Dive Point in Matemwe with its certified staff organises unforgettable diving and snorkelling trips for all skill levels. You can explore the deep blue of the bay or take a trip to Mnemba Island to see coral and animals such as the green turtle and dolphins.
